Representation is required from rural laboratories, private clinics and tertiary centres. The MSMLT depends on volunteers like you to make a difference in promoting the profession in our Province. We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas: Science Fair Judges: Every April the MSMLT provides special area awards to Manitoba Students entering Med Lab related science projects in the Manitoba Schools Science Symposium. We need technologists to judge the projects and select our winners! To volunteer or get more information contact Linda Schroeder at lschrod@mts.net or 204-224-3232. Career Fairs: Each Spring the MSMLT’s professional display unit travels around the Province to promote the profession at urban and rural career fairs. We need local technologist volunteers to man the booth, hand out career information and answer questions. To volunteer or get more information contact Bill Younger at wyounger@rrc.mb.ca or 204-632-2336. Sign up to be an MSMLT volunteer! Have fun! Make a difference. (posted Jan 27, 2006) |
